Q-drench® On A Roll

25 October 2010

After years of leading the way in combination drench technology, Jurox Animal Health's Q-drench multi-combination drench for sheep is now on a roll, with sales and market share increasing significantly in the last year.

"Sometimes it just takes a while for the true impact and the value of leading edge technology to be reflected in the marketplace~ Jurox Animal Health national sales manager Joe Bown said.

"Sheep parasitologists are strongly promoting the value of multi-combination drenches to control resistant worms and Q-drench is clearly the leader in this segment, being the only four active combination drench available.

"From its original position as a quarantine drench, Q-drench is now recognised as an important component of strategic drenching programs."

Q-drench strikes a great balance, with excellent efficacy -even in the face of multi-resistant worms - and cost effectiveness.

"At around 50 cents per adult dose, graziers are aware that Q-drench provides worm, fluke, mite and bot control without breaking the farm animal health budget - Mr Bown said.

Q-drench television and direct mail campaigns have been running in all key sheep drench regions around Australia in September and October and more advertising and promotional support will become evident as the first summer drench market progresses.

The Jurox manufacturing facilities and administration offices, located in the Hunter Valley, are set to be significantly expanded over the next year as the company prepares to launch several new sheep, horse and companion animal products for both domestic and export markets.
