Frudix®

Oral Diuretic Tablets

Furosemide is an efficient diuretic which increases the urinary excretion of water, sodium, chloride and potassium. It acts primarily by affecting sodium resorption in the loop of Henle. Diuretic effects may occur within one hour after oral dosing, and peak effects within two hours.

40 mg Furosemide

Indications

Conditions requiring diuresis and saluresis in dogs and cats.
For example:

  • Congestive heart failure
  • Renal insufficiency
  • Hepatic insufficiency
  • Pulmonary oedema
  • Spinal cord injuries and surgical intervention

Contraindications: Anuria.

Dosage

1 tablet per 10 kg once daily or twice daily. If dosed twice daily, the second dose should be administered no sooner than 6 to 8 hours after the previous dose. Severe cases may require double the above dose.
