Technical Information

Meloxicam is a staple analgesic in today’s companion animal practice.

Meloxicam is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) of the oxicam class which acts by inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis, thereby exerting anti-inflammatory, anti-exudative, analgesic and antipyretic effects. It reduces leukocyte infiltration into the inflamed tissue.

Reliven® borrows from Alfaxan® technology to update and improve the formulation for easy syringeability and comfortable administration.

Solubilised in hydroxypropylcyclodextrin (HPCD), Reliven® is easier to syringe and more comfortable to inject.
