American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA)

The American Veterinary Medical Association was established in 1863 to assist in the regulation of veterinary medicine. Today, the group regulates educational programs within the USA and territories for doctors of veterinary medicine and veterinary technicians and assistants. AVMA is the governing body whose mission is to ensure fair, humane treatment of animals through improved medical practices.
